The primary objective of my thesis is to understand the dynamics of long-term carbon sequestration in tree biomass and soils of afforested and reforested tracts obtained through different forest plantation methods in comparable eco-regions in peninsular India. I plan to quantify carbon sequestered in above- and below-ground biomass and estimation of topsoil and deep-soil carbon in plots managed under different forest plantation methods over a spectrum of stand ages to come up with the 'best' reforestative practice in a given landscape.

April’ 2019 : Hypothesizing the effects of Evolutionary Isolation of Hosts on Colonizer Phenotypes in the Temperate ecosystems. (Universite de Rennes 1, Rennes, FRANCE)
The objective was to analyse the effect of evolutionary distances between host (oak) trees and neighbours on the phenotypes of colonizers (caterpillars), thereby deducing the concept of Island Biogeography.

Deciphering the vegetation, climatic regimes and functional ecology of Gondwana basin through geological time scale ranging from early Carboniferous to late Permian period, through Palynochronological and Stratigraphic correlation.
May’ 2018: Impacts of Grazing and Altitudinal transition on Herbaceous communities in different topographic regimes of Western Himalayas, India. (Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, INDIA)
The study analyzed the effect(s) of large herbivore grazing and elevational gradients on diversity metrics of herbs in Tungnath and Shokhrakh Valleys, Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, Western Himalayas.
Aug’ 2017: An Ethnobotanical study of Indigenous Medicinal plants in Palghar and Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. (KJSSC, Vidyavihar, Mumbai, INDIA)
The study focused on flora-medicine continuum and respondents’ stochasticity among the inhabitants of two tribal predominant districts of Maharashtra.
July’ 2016: A morpho-physiological analytic study of tadpoles through the impacts of a toxic stimulant/marker. (Regional Institute of Education (NCERT) Bhubaneswar, INDIA)
An ecotoxicological research where Polypedates maculatus tadpoles were exposed to varied concentrations of Cadmium, revealing eccentric changes in behavior along
with development of tumours, with low index of motility and high index of mortality.
Jan’ 2016: Exploring Drawing Skills and Mental Images of Secondary Students on Human Digestive System through Hand Drawing. (Regional Institute of Education (NCERT) Bhubaneswar, INDIA)
In consideration of the potential of drawing as assessment and learning tool, I explored how secondary students used it to communicate their understanding of human digestive system.

Multiple child-psychological studies were conducted through tools like concept inventories and likert rating scales to explore misconceptions and learning gaps.
